[GNOME] Missing menu item

From time to time, some of my GNOME menu item disappeared for no reason. I tried re-installing the program, but futile. Right, I know that we can manually add menu item by right-click on GNOME menu and “Edit menu”, but there got to be a better way.

Luckly though, xdg-desktop-menu provides remedy.
Using

xdg-desktop-menu install .desktop

should add back the missing menus, providing the .desktop file still exists.
